crap, crap, crap, CRAP!
that's what i said when i woke this morning and looked out my window before getting up. snow, thick hearty chunks of it, was falling. i had hoped to get out of Maryland before the first snowfall, but i guess it wasn't to be. they're saying to expect 6 - 10 inches by tomorrow before it's over. i WAS going to empty out the basement today and tomorrow, but you can guess where that plan is now. Fortunately, i took a little trip to Lowes last night and got some paint and other fixin's for some minor repairs around here. i'll start in on that instead of the basement. the rest of the house is just about emptied, except for my computer work area, the TV and chaise and the countertops in the bathrooms. monday and tuesday the weather will be back in the 40s/50s and dry, so the basement looks like it'll be the last step just a couple days before i depart. i sure do wish i had some slave labor available to me!
